This is my Project Page.

Here you will find a few of the stories that have been rattling around in my head, taking shape, and waiting to come out in print. Christian fiction provides limitless opportunities to develop stories around real people. As an example, except for a select few, most of those in the Bible are nameless faces with little or no back story. Fiction provides a way to explore these very special people whom God chose to add in his written legacy. The rules are simple, though the story is a fictional tale, it must never violate God’s Word, or distort its truth in any way.

Innocence Sold

In 1978, Detective Lieutenant Bobby Richards takes his family on an outing to the San Francisco Headlands, where his sons briefly go missing. He soon finds them near a wildly painted VW bus, totally mesmerized by strangers whose appearance easily identify them as part of the current hippie culture. The strangers become belligerent when Bobby tells his sons that it’s time to go, but he quickly defuses the situation by flashing his badge. But, something about the strangers, the incident, the bus stays with Bobby.

Months later, while investigating a missing-child case, he connects a similar VW bus sighting to a larger pattern and the incident from the Headlands quickly unravels into a haunting investigation of unthinkable crimes, revealing the darkness lurking beneath the surface of society.

Three Gates To Hell

The world became a different place in the lost time spent in Viet Nam. The poodle skirt was replaced by the mini, work jeans were became flowered bellbottoms, and the beatnik made way for a new group of longhairs called hippies. Bob Richards, an Army Veteran steps into a career that will change everything he knew about life.

A rookie cop in the San Francisco Bay Area, he encounters the underside of humanity, the good, the bad, and the desperate. On a park bench, Bob reflects on a career that brought him inside the walls of San Quentin Prison to face his greatest challenge on Death Row.

Between The Lightning and the Thunder

The Book of James opens with the single greatest statement of faith in all the Bible, “James a servant of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” An expression from a man who had the unique privilege of sharing meals, siblings and even parents with the Son of God. He spent his life walking in Jesus’ shadow, looking up to Him, working and playing with Him, laughing and weeping with Him.

The Bible speaks of the skepticism and disbelief James had in who Jesus claimed to be, so what happened to convince a man filled with uncertainty and doubt to proclaim his own brother to be the Son of God?

A Cry From the Tombs

The scriptures speak of lives transformed by a single encounter with a 1st-century itinerant rabbi, but other than their affliction little if anything is said of who they were, where they came from or where they went. The Cry from the Tombs explores the hidden lives of those who met God face to face, and exchanged a life of heartache and pain, for one of power and joy.

A Portrait In Time

A Portrait In Time is a dramatic musical presentation that brings to life Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Each disciple is described in detail and takes their respective place at the table.

Through testimony and musical interlude, the disciples of old are replaced with believers of today. At the conclusion the deciples are seated at the foot of the table, in their place is seated Jesus and every member of 21st century culture.
